Savarese BJJ Team goes 5-2 at Men Of War

Wanted to get a good night sleep and get some sun today to process my thoughts correctly and post about last night. To say how proud of my team and instructors I feel today really can’t be put into words. It’s been a helluva 2 years at Savarese BJJ. Really rough, emotional stuff. People we put time into screwed us, people we helped turned on us. I got to reflect on the long ride home and Right now, I can say my team is better than ever, tighter than ever with no bad apples. We had an awesome night last night at Men Of War Pro. Went 5-2 on the night but more importantly, look at the turnout of support for our team! This is a family! That word is thrown around a lot but we really do support each other on and off the mat. This is what me and my instructors (thank you to all of them, especially Professor Anthony Del Guercio who put it on the line last night, always leading by example and living what we teach about hard work, goals and a strong mindset). Also proud of Professor Brian Procel and what he is building in Jersey City in the roughest of times to build a school. Thank you to everyone who put it on the line last night to show our schools skills, find where we need fixing and showing your strong mindset of not being scared to fail. Thank you to everyone who stayed until after midnight in support. Thanks to Eugene Perez for putting on a great show, run extremely well and with referees who realize they aren’t the show and just do their job, it was an excellent show. I am proud of everyone and nights like last night drive me to be better, do better and live better in order to make you better. Love my team! Oss.
