If you are a woman who has always wanted to learn martial arts, Savarese BJJ has an offer for you. For the entire month of September 2016, women train for free. Moreover, if you try now, I will give you the rest of August 2016 for free as well.
Women’s Only Class:
Every Tuesday night, Savarese BJJ offers a women’s only class.
Unless they are an instructor, men are not allowed in the room while the women’s class is in progress. Some women may feel intimidated in a situation where the martial arts school is primarily filled with men. That is why we decided to offer our female students a place to train without men.
The women’s only class was designed for real life threatening situations. It will prepare you for the self-defense needed to properly fend off an attacker. The techniques we provide are based on the original Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Self Defense program that was taught by Grandmaster Helio Gracie.
While a lot of modern BJJ academies focus solely on sport jiu jitsu, we have dedicated classes each week where our students learn how to defend themselves.
Our self-defense program was designed to benefit a smaller person in threatening situations. Particularly, this course is unique in that it does not rely on punching or kicking. While those aspects are important, they may not be an effective strategy to protect yourself against a bigger, stronger opponent.
It is common for most attacks to end up on the ground. We teach you how to defend yourself from this position.
In the comfort of the academy you will learn safe ways to apply joint locks and chokes that could potentially save your life.
While learning self-defense is an integral aspect of our art, there are other benefits associated with it as well.
You don’t have to be young or in shape to start training. There are a number of success stories of our students losing weight and becoming more athletic in the process, overcoming eating disorders, and growing as an older practitioner.
Our ages currently range from 13 to over 40 years old. Each one of our classes are capable of meeting everyone’s fitness needs.
You don’t have to be in good shape in order to train BJJ. Our curriculum will help guide you towards the best shape of your life.
Students will quickly notice an increase in strength, endurance, flexibility, and general well-being.
If you are looking for a self-defense program, a new hobby, or a fresh way to get in shape, Savarese BJJ Academy can help you. See how Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can help you improve your self confidence, energy, and general well being.
