#tbt Savarese BJJ Academy wins RGDA Tournament team Title
Our throwback Thursday pic today is from when the Savarese BJJ Academy won the RGDA Tournament Team Title. I will always believe that tournament was a turning point in the history of our school. The RGDA (Royler Gracie-David Adiv) Tournament was stacked between the associations best schools from NJ, Penn, Canada and Ohio. It was our first team championship. Most of the people in this picture set a goal 6 weeks out to win their division and we set a goal to win the team title after coming in 2nd the previous year. I remember David Adiv texting me after and saying “Bro, your guys fought like lions!” I was so proud. Many students in this picture are still with me today and are blackbelts and brownbelts now, one even has his own school. Thank you for making that a special day that I will always remember. oss
