Strong showing for Savarese BJJ students at 2019 World BJJ Championship

It was a strong showing for Savarese BJJ students at 2019 World BJJ Championship last weekend. Only 3 members of our competition team earned their way to the Worlds this year but we came home with a 6-3 record on the day including a bronze medal. Maria Villa, aka “The Foof”, came away w/ the Bronze medal in the Women’s bluebelt hwt division. Quite an accomplishment for the young star, who made it a goal after losing at this tournament last year. She entered the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach CA with renewed confidence this year and made it to the podium for the first time.

Yadimarco shines

Sean Yadimarco also had a good showing but fell short of his goal of winning his division.
