Lyndhurst Jiu-Jitsu standout Yadimarco wins Kasai Pro 4 match

Lyndhurst Jiu-Jitsu standout Yadimarco wins Kasai Pro 4 match

Lyndhurst Jiu-Jitsu standout Yadimarco wins Kasai Pro 4 match! Savarese BJJ’s Sean Yadimarco got a 3-0 win tonight at Kasai Pro 4 over the tough Josh Boodhoo from Renzo Gracie Ottawa. Sean is now 2-0 in the Kasai Promotion, one of the best there is. It’s been a great month for Sean winning the AGF and Absolute, his Fight To Win match, competed in ADCC trials and bounced back from losing there to come back strong tonight in the big stage. The match started slow as Boodhoo pulled 50/50 guard trying to get a sweep. Yadimarco defended well but the stalling position earned both fighters stalling points, one that was controversial as Yadimarco has the point he earned at the beginning of the match taken away. The announcer and fans were confused. But as soon as the flow opened up, Yadimarco got a quick guard pass and a back take as time expired.

Words from Yadimarco’s instructor

He constantly tests himself, so he will always succeed. Props to You Sean, I’m extremely proud of your hard work and dedication to your craft. Take a rest and keep focused. oss

Savarese BJJ’s Rinaldi shines at ADCC Trials

Savarese BJJ’s Rinaldi shines at ADCC Trials

Savarese BJJ’s Rinaldi shines at ADCC Trials! Danny Rinaldi, a purplebelt at Lyndhurst’s Savarese Jiu-Jitsu Academy, has a huge tournament last Saturday at the ADCC East Coast Trials. Rinaldi defeated his first opponent, Johnny Boswell from the Vincente Junior Team PA Combat Sports in PA by guard pass. He then went on to defeat Travis Oyler from Team Mannon in Roanke VA in round 2 by guard pass. Kody Steele, from the Rodrigo Cabrel Brazilian Fight Factory in Austin, Texas was he 3rd opponent and Rinaldi finished him by rear naked choke in OT.

Controversial ending

The day finished early for Rinaldi by controversy. His match w Dan Martinez from Renzo Gracie ended 0-0 in regulation that to send the match into OT. That is where the controversy came in. The table gave Rinaldi a -1 for stalling as time expired, even though Rinaldi had Martinez in a finishing hold (dacre choke) at the buzzer. The match was awarded to martinez to much booing and wonderment from the crowd. It was a terrible ending to a day in which Rinaldi did not have a point scored on him.

Lyndhurst Jiu-Jitsu student’s incredible weight loss

Lyndhurst Jiu-Jitsu student’s incredible weight loss

It has been an unbelievable couple of months at Savarese BJJ. Hell, it’s been an incredible 2018 so far (and we aren’t done yet!) School has grown, many success stories, our comp team has killed it, won team titles, matches in Kasai, Fight To Win, Abu Dhabi Pro, ADCC trials. I could go on and on unashamedly. All that stuff is amazing. I’m always happy when I see people achieve something. But gold medals and taps are not ultimately what’s important. What’s important is that one day you wake up and you are better than the person you were yesterday. Then you improve each day after that until it’s a life style change. You are better! You feel better about who you are now and you made everyone around you proud of you…, your family, your training partners, your children, your co-workers are all proud of you. You realize that doing the work you put in allows you to accomplishing anything. For all of my Academy’s success, there is nobody I am more proud of that this guy…@Ariel Morel. When he joined our school, he couldn’t do the warmups. He was out of shape. I told him every class to do better than yesterday. He has….in spades. He has lost over 50lbs, feels great about himself and looks even better. I have not seen him training once in the last 3 months without a huge smile on his face. Ariel, you have a extremely proud instructor and you my friend are one of the reasons I look forward to teaching at night. Kudos to you and I can’t wait to see where you are in the next 6 months!!!!

Savarese BJJ’s Yadimarco dominant at Fight To Win 91

Savarese BJJ’s Yadimarco was dominant at Fight To Win 91, defeating his opponent Valencia by unanimous decision on all 3 scorecards saturday night. Yadimarco controlled the match from start to finish over the very tough Valencia, a fighter from the Renzo Gracie Woodland Park school.

Words from his instructor

Congrats to my student Sean Yadimarco on a dominant win tonight in Fight To Win 91 at the Sports City Arena in Farmingdale NJ over the super tough Andrew Valencia by unanimous decision. So proud of this kid. Absolutely love him. He succeeds because he is not scared to fail. He tests himself constantly to make himself better and win or lose, he grows. He competed last weekend and won the AGF, going 6-0 on the day. He won his Fight To Win match tonight and has more things coming up in a busy month for him.

Next for Yadimarco

Yadimarco will join teammate Danny Rinaldi in competing in the ADCC East Coast Trials this weekend in a qualifier for the ADCC World Championship next year. The weekend after, he will be competing on the loaded Kasai Grappling 4 undercard in which the Gordan Ryan will be taking on Mattheus Diniz in the main event and Renato Canuto vs Wanger Rocha as the co main event.

Bellator contender Lovato teaches at Lyndhurst Academy

Bellator contender Lovato teaches at Lyndhurst Academy

Bellator contender Rafael Lovato Jr taught a seminar at the Lyndhurst Academy Savarese BJJ thursday nigh. Lovato, slated to face Gregard Mousassi for the Bellator title early next year, stopped into NJ to teach and train with long-time friend and training partner Chris Savarese, the Academy owner. Over 60 people were in attendance to learn from the 4th degree Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt. Lovato is widely considered one of the top 5 ground specialist in MMA today

Words from the owner

Forgot to post about the awesome Rafael Lovato Jr.seminar at Savarese BJJ Thursday night. Professor Lovato did something a little different this time, answered a lot of questions, stuck to some things we have been stressing on our team and even rolled with most of the students afterwards. It was a great learning experience for everyone. Now time to focus on that Bellator title hunt! Let’s go!!!!

Next up for Lovato

Lovato Jr. is coming off a big win of his own in the middleweight division. He submitted John Salter in the third round at Bellator 205 earlier this month to stay unbeaten in his career. The jiu-jitsu specialist said he hoped to get the title shot next and said he felt capturing the belt is “inevitable. I’m putting everything into this, and I feel like I’m in a very special phase of my life right now,†Lovato Jr. told MMAjunkie after Bellator 205. “I would love this opportunity and this challenge to fulfill my martial arts destiny and become a world champion.â€

Mousasi has made it clear he wants his second title defense to come against the unbeaten Rafael Lovato Jr. (9-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA).

The 4x World Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion showed many self defense techniques and techniques for jiu-jitsu compeitiors as well. The attendees were raving about it afterwards, with many claling it the best seminar they ever attended.

Words from Professor Savarese

Thank you to Master Royler Gracie for an absolutely amazing seminar tonight at my Academy. He is such an inspiration to me in so many ways, the energy he brings to his teaching inspires me to be a better teacher. I try my best to bring every ounce of my energy when i teach because of how he runs from room to room to see everyone’s technique.. Tonight’s seminar was my favorite that he has ever done at my Academy. Learned so much tonight and am confident every single person left better than they were when they walked in tonight .
