UFC contender trains at Lyndhurst Jiu Jitsu Academy
UFC contender Kurt Pellegrino and 2011 No-Gi World Jiu-Jitsu Rafael Chavez stopped by the Lyndhurst jiu-Jitsu Academy Savarese Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a night of training. The owner, Professor Chris Savarese, is a training partner of Pellegrino for years. Pellegrino trains at the Savarese Lyndhurst Academy a couple of times a year to exchange ideas with Savarese. This time he brought another training partner, Raphael Chavez, fresh off him winning the No-Gi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in September. The 3 brainstormed and then took to the mats to train with Savarese and his students for an awesome night of training. Savarese has this to say “It’s is always enjoyable for me to train with Kurt. We really compliment each other well. It was fantastic to train with Raphael as well, who taught my students and I some cool submissions. I would like to thank Kurt and Raphael for stopping by the Academy last night and sharing their knowledge with my students and I. KP is always a Champion in my eyes and easily the funniest guy on Planet Earth.”
