Clifton resident Sean Yadimarco won a jiu jitsu tourney, winning his division at the North American Grappling Assocation (NAGA) yesterday. Yadimarco is a wrestling standout at Clifton High School and just received his blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) recently from Professor Chris Savarese, one of the first Americans to receive a black belt in BJJ from Royler Gracie. Savarese is the owner and head instructor at Savarese BJJ Academy in Lyndhurst NJ and says Sean is special “Sean is a rare breed, they just don’t make them like him anymore. We call him “The Beast”.
Sean is a really, really tough kid with a great work ethic who has a tremendous future in BJJ. He is special and can go as far as he wants to in BJJ. His future is limitless.”
