Valuable life skills are taught every day. The Savarese Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, located on Park Ave, believes in teaching life skills as well in a family and team environment. Besides doing jiu-jitsu tournaments, we like to do team building events for the students to become friends and have fun as well. Last week, we have a Holiday ornament making party and the kids absolutely loved! Some of the kids were really creative! They were coming up with creations and designs that t-shirt companies would be jealous of! The instructors were fascinated at some of the ornamnets. They made their names, some made trees, other made their favorite sports teams like the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Devils and some of the dreaded Dallas Cowboys star. Others played tic tac toe, the school itself and some of the older students were even helping the younger students make better ones. In this day in age of electronic everything, it was nice to see the kids being creative.
