Savarese Jiu Jitsu student is Grapplers Quest Champion

Savarese Jiu Jitsu student Spanish Mike Gonzalez is Grapplers Quest Champion. Nicknamed “Furniture” by his teammates because he is always in the Academy, Gonzalez is training less than 6 months and has already won 2 tournaments. Professor Chris Savarese, the owner and head instructor at Savarese Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mike’s instructor is very high on Gonzalez. “Mike is extremely talented. His future is limitless. The only person who can stop Mike is himself. He can go as far as he wants to go. We only had 1 competitor at Grapplers Quest yesterday but it was worth it! Congrats to Mike for bringing home the GOLD medal in his weight class by winning 5 matches, being un-scored upon in 4 of them!! In the 1 match he was in trouble of being submitted, he listened to Professor Savarese, who was coaching right in front of him and told him to stay calm and listen. Mike did exactly what his coach said, escaped the near submission and came back to win. Hard work pays off!
