Legarto=Bastos

BJJ match of the day is between 2 guys competing in ADCC next week, Lucio ‘Lagarto’ Rodrigues (blue gi) vs Bruno Bastos at the 2011 European BJJ Championship. Bastos is a 3x World Cup Champion and Legarto is a World Cup Champ and 4x European Champ. “Lagarto” which means Lizard in Portuguese, was given by Marcio Feitosa at Gracie Barra because he used to joke saying that Lucio resembled reptile. Legarto is a champion in more than BJJ. Often regarded as the Lance Armstrong of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,  has victoriously battled with cancer, returning to BJJ after his recovery to conquer some of the most important titles in his career, such as the European Open and the World Pro Cup finals in Abu Dhabi.
