Rafael Lovato Jr. is the only American to have won the BJJ Pan-American Championships in the adult Black Belt category. In 2008, after what was referred to as the greatest match of the tournament and one of the best of all times vs Roberto “Tussa” Alencar, Rafael was able to capture his 3rd Black Belt Pan-American title.
