BJJ match of the day is Kayron Gracie (Carlinhos’ son) vs. Renan Chavez in a superfight at the 2010 Prostar Tournament. Kayron uses an excellent spider guard to attack his triangle and sweep and then hits his “Renzo choke” from the side mount. Notice how Kayron doesn’t leave any space when feeding the lapel to his hand. That is the most common mistake when applying this move. Kayron is one of the top middleweights in BJJ.
