Margarida-Jamelao Rickson Tournament 2000

BJJ match of the day is 2x World Champion and 3x Pan am Champion Fernando “Margarida” Pontes vs. Eduardo “Jamelao” Conceicao in the Rickson Gracie Tournament in 2000. Jamelao was one of the top competitors from the Alliance team years ago and was one of the innovators of the “deep half Guard” that has become popular because of the success of guys like Jeff Glover who use it. In fact, Glover used to call this guard the “Jamelao 1/2 guard” at one time.
