Nino-Sacha

BJJ match of the day is a ADCC match between Nino Schembri vs Alexander Savko Sacha. Nino is a Brazilian National Champion and a 2x World BJJ Champion. Known for his creativity and amazing flexibility, Nino was a true revolutionary of the sport, famous for the use of the guard as an offensive tool, being the Omoplata (shoulder blade lock) and the Gogoplata (choke) or even the rubber guard some of his more famous moves. Sacha was a World champion wrestler from Belarus and 1999 ADCC silver medalist.  He held wins over Flavio Almedia, Fabio Gurgel and Ricardo Libirio. Sacha passed away in 2004 after collapsing on the mat while training. RIP Sacha.
