Savarese BJJ absolutely kicked butt at GQ yesterday. We had a phenomenal showing! With less than 10 people competing, we took home 7 medals, highlighted by Carlos Dorjo, in his first BJJ tourn ever, submitting all 4 opponents en route to winning his division and Mike “Furniture” Gonzalez winning 9 of 10 matches on the day (and was winning the 10th w/ 30 seconds to go) to claim a gold and a silver. Congrats to everyone who competed today, it takes guts to compete, it makes me proud to watch people test themselves and face a fear and you guys get better w/ each tourn!
