BJJ match of the day is from the Houston Open this year between JT Torres and Andre Monteiro. JT was on fire in that tournament, winning his weight class and the Absolute. Looking forward to seeing him compete in the World Championship in june.

The World Jiu-Jitsu Expo, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California has added 2 superfight to go along w/ the Nick-Diaz-Braulio Estima match. Rafael Lovato Jr vs Kayron Gracie and Kron Gracie vs. Vitor Estima have been added to the mix!!!

Nick Diaz, the former UFC welterweight and Strikeforce champion is still sitting under a temporary suspension handed down from the Nevada State Athletic Commission after he tested positive for marijuana following his February bout w/ Carlos Condit. He is suing the Nevada Commission for violating his rights!

BJJ match of the day is an old school match from the 1996 World championships between Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhaes (shaved head) vs. Thiago Asfora. Draculino is a 3x Pan Am Champion and holds wins over many top competitors including one over Royler Gracie. he is one of the World’s top instructors in Jiu Jitsu, having taught several top level black belt competitors like Romulo Barral, Samuel Braga, Marcelo Azevedo and many others. He is now teaching in Texas. Draculino has awarded over 100 black belts throughout his academies and is one of the best coaches in the business.
