BJJ match of the day is a match from the Houston Open this year featuring Keenan Cornelius vs Mitch Norton. Keenan was the star of the Pan Ams yesterday winning his division and the purplebelt Absolute just months after winning the same 2 title at the European Championships. This kid will be one of best blackbelts in the world in a couple of years.

Congrats to Rafael Lovato student Jared Dopp for winning double gold at the Pan Ams, winning his bluebelt super hwt weight division and the Absolute!! Way to go Jared!!

Leopoldo-Nunes

BJJ match of the day is Fabio Leopoldo vs Alessandro Nunes at Mundial in 2005. Fabio won the World Championship in 2002 as well as the Pan Am and Absolute in the same year. He won the Masters in 2010. He will be comepting in the Pan Ams this weekend, I always root for Fabio, who taught me alot about the 1/2 guard.

2008 Pan Am Final Lovato-Tussa

In honor of the start of the Pan Ams today, the BJJ match of the day is one of the best Pan Am matches ever. The 2008 Final between Rafael Lovato Jr vs Roberto “Tussa” Alencar. Both are competing this year as well and they just fought at the Europeans a couple of months back, would love to see another!!!
