Saulo-Andersson

BJJ match of the day is a 2001 ADCC match between Saulo Ribeiro vs Rikard Andersson. Saulo is a 5x World BJJ Champion (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002); 2x ADCC Champion (2000, 2003); 2x Pan American Champion (1998 – Weight and Absolute); and World NoGi Champion (2008). He is one one of the greatest BJJ competitors of all time. Andersson was Sweden’s first BJJ blackbelt.

Lovato-Holmes

BJJ match of the day is Rafael Lovato Jr vs. JJ Holmes last weekend at the Abu Dhabi Pro Trials in San Antonio. Rafael sweep his division and the Absolute, hitting a bunch of sweet armbars like this one along the way. for winning the Absolute, he earna an all expenses paid by UAEJJ to the World Pro JJ Cup main event in April 2012. Good luck Raf!!

Buchecha-Lo

BJJ match of the day is an Absolute match from the 2011 Pan Am between Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida vs Leandro Lo. Buchecha was tearing it up at the lower belts winning World and Pan Am titles at purple and brownbelt. He won the No-Gi World and Absolute Championship at Blackbelt this year. Lo, who was the first guy to beat Michael Langi in 3 years, was the Brazilan National and BJJ Pro Cup Championship this year.

Rillion

BJJ match of the day is some rare footage of Rillion Gracie, the youngest son of BJJ founder Carlos Gracie. Rickson Gracie has called Rillion “the best guard player in the Gracie Family” He is known to have had a big impact of the development of Roger and Kyra Gracie.

Pezao-Fowler

BJJ match of the day is a Absolute (no weight limit) match between Vinny “Pezao” Maghalaes vs Mike Fowler. Fowler, one of the top American BJJ competitors, gives up alot of weight to Pezao but does a good job here. Pezao is a 3x World BJJ Champ (twice at browneblt, one at bluebelt), 2011 ADC Champ and 2007 No-Gi World Champ. he is one of the top competitors today.
