Match of the day is Kurt Pellegrino vs Nelson Monteiro in an ADCC 2007 match. Pellegrino was one of the top grapplers in the USA before concentrating on MMA and his UFC career, compiling a record of over 100 wins against 3 losses in a span of 5 years. Monteiro, a Gracie Barra blackbelt, was the 1st BJJ instructor in Abu Dhabi and played a big part in the creation of the ADCC tournament

BJJ match of the day is Andre Galvao vs. Mark Bocek in a 2997 ADCC match. Galvao was the ADCC 88KG and Absolute Division champion this weekend and solidified himself as one of the best competitors of all time. In this match, he defeats a very underrated and tough Mark Bocek w/ a heelhook

Pezao-Bastos
BJJ match of the day is ADCC 99+ winner Vinny “Pezao” Magalhaes vs. Bruno Bastos in a Grapplers Quest in 2009. Vinny has staked his claim as one of the best no-gi competitiors in the world. He finishes a very tough Bastos by heelhook in this match.

BJJ match of the day is Daniel Gracie vs. Abmar Barbosa in the 1st rd of the Ultimate Absolute NYC this summer. Barbosa is a BJJ blackbelt with an extensive list of grappling achievements. Mainly known for his aggressive guard, he shocked the BJJ community in the 2010 Pan Ams by totally dominating heavy favorite Kron Gracie and also subbing Lucas Leite. Abmar has since then become one of the most talked about Jiu Jitsu competitors. Gracie is a Pride and IFL vet who earned his BJJ BB at 23 yrs old!

BJJ match of the day is the star of ADCC this weekend, Andre Galvao vs. Bruno Bastos in the Sultatame Cup. Galvao is a 7x Time World BJJ Champ and added some more hardware to his resume by winning his weight class and Absolute (no weight limit) this weekend. He now has to be mentioned in discussions of the best competitors ever!
