Lyndhurst Jiu-Jitsu kids program remains top notch

Lyndhurst Jiu-Jitsu kids program remains top notch! The Savarese Jiu-Jitsu Academy on park ave has been changing the lives in the Lyndhurst and surrounding areas for over 15 years. In this picture, Leo Alves, a North Arlington resident who started in our program as a boy at 8 years old, helps 12 year old Matteo Mendez. Leo was a multiple time kids jiu-jitsu tournament champion, winning tournaments up and down NJ and NY for years. He then went on to become an instructor at Savarese BJJ and an adult champion as well. He was a Fight To Win (www.fight2winbjj.com) and NJBJJF (www.njbjjf.com)adult champion at just 16 years old. Here, things come full circle. There was a time when Leo and Mateo were in the Kids Program together. In between kids class and Fundamentals here they are drilling together again and Leo was giving Mateo some pointers on his guard. I absolutely love this Academy/Family/Team.
